Nestlé
Nestlé is a global consumer goods manufacturer and the world’s largest food and beverage company, with more than 2,000 brands. Its Sustainable Sourcing Program includes 14 raw materials sourced from more than 100 countries.
Nestlé used the Accountability Framework as an overall reference to strengthen the company’s responsible sourcing policies and its management and reporting systems. For example, Nestlé used the Framework to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on sustainable production.
The company also adopted the Framework’s definitions of deforestation and conversion and used AFi guidance to develop the company’s Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Land Rights Action Plan and its palm oil supplier management system.
