The AFi at COP30
See what the AFi team and Coalition have planned for COP30.
Hundreds of advocacy groups, global leaders, NGOs, policymakers, and private sector companies will soon gather for the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This year’s summit will take place in Belém, Brazil, from 10–21 November.
Several members of the AFi team will be on site, hosting sessions and speaking at others. Many members of the AFi Coalition will also attend, working together to advance key climate policy goals.
Our shared mission—to eliminate deforestation and ecosystem conversion from agricultural and forestry production and trade—is essential to achieving the 1.5°C target. Advancing this objective must go hand in hand with a wide range of and mitigation adaptation strategies to enable a rapid and just climate transition. Engaging in the broader climate dialogue is therefore a vital part of the AFi’s work to transform commodity supply chains and protect both people and planet.
