Webinar: The role of sustainability systems in deforestation and conversion-free supply chains (ISEAL)

Global deforestation remains one of the most pressing sustainability challenges of our time. The 2025 Forest Declaration Assessment highlights that the world is still off track to halt forest loss – with over 8 million hectares lost last year alone, much of it driven by commodity production and land-use conversion.

As leading companies work to eliminate deforestation from their supply chains, many face systemic barriers that hinder progress toward their 2025 commitments. Meanwhile, regulations like the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) are reshaping expectations and driving new momentum for action and accountability.

Credible voluntary sustainability standards (VSS) have been laying the groundwork for companies to implement responsible practices for years, offering tools, frameworks and collaborative approaches that help businesses navigate this evolving regulatory landscape. With decades of on-the-ground experience, credible VSS are uniquely positioned to address deforestation and land conversion.

However, the variety of sustainability systems on the market makes it complex for companies to know which sustainability systems to trust, and which are best aligned to their sustainability goals and compliance obligations.
