The AFi Coaliton at COP16
21 October 2024
See what the AFi Coalition members are up to at the biodiversity summit, COP16, in Cali, Colombia.
The AFi Coalition is on site in Cali, Colombia to host a range of events as part of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) 16th Conference of Parties (COP16). Kicking off this week, the summit brings together a range of stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and the private sector, to discuss the practical action needed to preserve nature and biodiversity.
This will be the first biodiversity COP since the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) was adopted in 2022. This year’s meeting will focus on how much progress country signatories have made towards implementing the goals of the GBF, based on their National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs).
