AFi launches new e-learning module on collaboration

13 fevereiro 2025

Learn how companies can work together beyond their individual supply chains to achieve shared goals.

The Accountability Framework initiative (AFi) has today launched a new module of the AFi e-learning platform focused on collaborating to advance responsible supply chain goals.

Many of the social and environmental risks that companies face within supply chains are beyond the ability of any one company to mitigate. In fact, leveraging collective resources across multiple companies and with other stakeholders can be more effective and impactful to address these challenges. By defining shared goals and actions, companies can leverage their collective resources for more impactful outcomes than if they were acting alone.

The new AFi e-learning module outlines how companies can achieve effective and long-lasting solutions through collaboration with their peers, governments, civil society, and other actors across landscapes, jurisdictions, and sectors.

The AFi e-learning platform offers training on responsible supply chains

The AFi e-learning platform is an online resource designed to help companies learn about the Accountability Framework and how its guidance can help them protect forests, natural ecosystems, and human rights. The platform features modules highlighting the key actions that companies need to take to achieve more responsible commodity supply chains. This includes the newly launched module on collaboration with other supply chain actors to achieve shared responsible supply chain goals.

What’s included in the Collaborate module?

The Collaborate module features a short video introduction on achieving supply chain goals through collaboration. The module also includes three lessons with interactive content, expert videos, and knowledge checks on the business case for sectoral and place-based collaborative approaches when addressing key supply chain challenges.

By completing this module, learners will take away a better understanding of:

  • Different approaches to collaboration to address social and environmental issues associated with commodity production and trade.

  • The key characteristics and advantages of sectoral-, landscape-, and jurisdictional-level approaches.

  • The Accountability Framework’s guidance and resources to support further learning on collaboration.
