Public consultation on revisions to the Accountability Framework
14 January 2025
The AFi invites input from Accountability Framework users and stakeholders to inform updates to the Accountability Framework
The AFi initiated a 60-day public consultation period on proposed updates to the Accountability Framework in January 2025. The updates address topics related supply chain traceability and control, supply chain management, verification, and responsible supply chain targets and progress trajectories.
“Through this consultation, we invite input from a diverse range of stakeholders. These include company personnel, civil society groups, Indigenous Peoples, policymakers, scientists, and others,” said AFi Director Jeff Milder. “This will help ensure that revisions to the Accountability Framework are grounded in the latest evidence and good practices, and are broadly applicable across different contexts.”
Participating in the consultation
Interested stakeholders can visit the AFi public consultation web page to download the consultation brief and see how to provide feedback on the proposed updates. To learn more about the topics covered by the consultation, we invite you to watch the recording of an informational AFi webinar.
The public consultation period closed on 14 March 2025. Following the consultation, the AFi Coalition and secretariat reviewed stakeholder feedback and have begun the process of integrating it into a set of new and revised Accountability Framework Operational Guidance documents.
