EUDR and China: Creating Positive Market Signals for DCF Supply Chains 

The session will explore how emerging state-level traceability, MRV and compliance-screening systems can support the practical implementation of deforestation- and conversion-free supply chains. As EUDR implementation approaches, it will examine how Brazilian states such as Pará, Acre and Tocantins are improving visibility over production areas, legal compliance, traceability and forest-risk management, and how these systems can help buyers, regulators, investors and downstream companies identify and reward credible progress.

The discussion will also connect European regulatory expectations with China-facing value chains, drawing on FAIRR’s China engagement and Rainforest Foundation Norway’s investor work, to consider how market signals from Europe, China and investors can better recognise jurisdictions investing in traceability, monitoring and forest governance.

Ending Deforestation: The Private Sector’s Role to Make Deforestation History 

This event will explore how government roadmaps, accountability frameworks, standards, data, finance, and corporate action can accelerate measurable progress towards halting and reversing deforestation. It will also consider how companies can move beyond fragmented efforts and demonstrate credible, public leadership on deforestation. The discussion is for corporate sustainability, procurement, risk, and finance leaders, as well as their advisers.
