Britta Schmidt
Senior Associate
Britta joined the AFi in May 2025 as a Senior Associate, where she will be responsible for the AFi’s knowledge management processes, including tracking uptake of the Framework.
Britta brings experience from roles within ecological conservation, climate policy, human rights, and environmental justice. Prior to joining the AFi, Britta worked as a Research Assistant at Global Canopy and contributed to projects like DEFT Pathway, Floresta 250 – Cattle, and Forest 500.
Britta holds an MSci in Ecology, Conservation and Environment from the University of Sussex. She is based in London and enjoys visiting art galleries, seeing live music, and playing in her local football team.
