From Systems to Standards: Aligning DCF Implementation with the Accountability Framework initiative

AFi Lead Scientist Leah Samberg joins Meridia on 11 November to discuss how companies can ensure their deforestation- and conversion-free systems are robust enough to credibly support DCF claims.

Many companies have now invested significantly in developing deforestation- and conversion-free (DCF) systems, such as chain of custody (CoC), and monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) processes. Now that these systems are in place, companies must ensure they are robust enough to support credible DCF claims.

Co-hosted by the Accountability Framework initiative (AFi) and AFi delivery partner Meridia, this webinar will examine how companies can ensure their existing DCF systems follow recognised accountability criteria, and how to communicate progress to key stakeholders.

AFi Lead Scientist Leah Samberg will share the best practice guidance from the Accountability Framework on credible DCF implementation, as well as how companies can assess their existing systems.

Meridia Methodology Manager Camila Marques will show what that assessment looks like in practice at plot level, including how supply chain field data can be checked against DCF commitments, where gaps commonly arise, and how companies can close them.
